Forceps Biopsy

**Definition:** The removal of a tissue sample using a specially-designed endoscope consisting of a slender flexible forceps with movable cup-shaped jaws. The jaws are closed around the tissue to be collected and while closed the forceps are withdrawn to capture the biopsy tissue.
