Anti-CLDN6 CAR T-cells

**Definition:** A preparation of T-lymphocytes expressing a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the cell surface protein claudin 6 (CLDN6), with potential immunostimulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, the anti-CLDN6 CAR T-cells specifically target and bind to CLDN6-expressing tumor cells, thereby selectively lysing CLDN6-expressing tumor cells. CLDN-6, a transmembrane tight-junction protein and embryonic antigen, is overexpressed on a variety of tumor cells but is not expressed on normal, healthy adult cells.
