FN1/FGF1 Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation t(2;5)(q35;q31) which fuses exon 24 or 26 of the FN1 gene with exon 2 of the FGF1 gene. This rearrangement is associated with phosphaturic mesenchymal tumor.
