Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Adults

**Definition:** A rare syndrome found in adults with positive test results for SARS-CoV-2 by polymerase chain reaction or antibody assays indicating recent infection that is marked by cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, dermatologic, and neurologic symptoms without severe respiratory illness. The most common signs and symptoms that have been reported to date include fever, low blood pressure, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, neck pain, rash, chest pain, and tiredness not attributable to other infections.
