Geboes Grading System

**Definition:** A grading scale for histological assessment of inflammation in ulcerative colitis. The score is determined by the level of abnormality in six categories: structural change, chronic inflammation, lamina propria neutrophils, neutrophils in epithelium, crypt destruction, and erosions or ulcers.
