KL-6 Antigen

**Definition:** A cell-surface sialylated glycoprotein epitope with a minimal sequence of PDTRPAP, which are derived from the highly glycosylated variable number of tandem repeat (VNTR) domain of mucin-1 (MUC1). Antibodies that target this epitope may have anti-tumor activity and may be useful in detection of pancreatic cancer.
