Nanvuranlat

**Semantic type:** Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** An inhibitor of L-type amino acid transporter 1 complex (LAT1; CD98; gp125), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon intravenous administration, nanvuranlat targets and inhibits LAT1 expressed on tumor cell membranes, thereby inhibiting essential amino acid uptake by rapidly proliferating tumor cells. This may inhibit tumor cell growth. LAT1, a protein complex that mediates the uptake of amino acids, is overexpressed in certain cancer cells and plays a key role in the proliferation, survival and metastasis of tumor cells.

**Synonyms:** - JPH 203 - JPH-203 - JPH203 - KYT 0353 - KYT-0353 - KYT0353 - NANVURANLAT
