Inetetamab

**Semantic type:** Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein|Immunologic Factor|Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** An Fc-engineered monoclonal antibody targeting the tyrosine kinase receptor epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2; ErbB2), with potential immunomodulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, inetetamab targets and specifically binds to HER2 on tumor cells, thereby blocking HER2-mediated signaling. This may inhibit proliferation of HER2-expressing tumor cells. In addition, the Fab region of inetetamab may induce antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) against tumor cells that overexpress HER2. HER2 is overexpressed in a variety of cancer cell types and is associated with increased tumor cell proliferation.

**Synonyms:** - Cipterbin - Trastuzumab Analogue Inetetamab
