**Definition:** A recombinant protein-based inhibitor of numerous types of kallikrein-related peptidases (KLKs), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon administration, KLK inhibitor MDPK67b targets and inhibits various KLKs, including KLK2, KLK4, KLK5 and KLK14. This inhibits KLK-mediated signaling and inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells in which these KLKs are overexpressed. Deregulation of KLKs is associated with some types of cancers.
