Iodine I 124 18B10(10L)

**Semantic type:** Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** A radioconjugate composed of an antibody directed against the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) Claudin18.2 (CLDN18.2; A2 isoform of claudin-18), and conjugated with the radioisotope iodine I 124, that can potentially be used as an imaging agent for positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT). Upon administration, the antibody moiety of iodine I 124 18B10(10L) selectively targets and binds to CLDN18.2. The CLDN18.2-expressing tumor cells can then be visualized using PET/CT. CLDN18.2, a tight junction protein and stomach-specific isoform of claudin-18, is expressed on a variety of tumor cells. Its expression in healthy tissues is strictly confined to short-lived differentiated epithelial cells of the gastric mucosa.

**Synonyms:** - 124I-18B10(10L) - [124I]-18B10(10L)
