CAP Analysis of Gene Expression

**Definition:** A method for high-throughout gene expression analysis and the profiling of transcriptional start points (TSP), including promoter usage analysis. It uses cap-selected full length cDNAs with linkers attached to their 5' ends which are then cleaved to about 20 base pairs, amplified by PCR, contatamerized, and cloned.
