Sequential Mass Spectrometry

**Definition:** A mass spectrometry technique that uses an ion trap and Fourier-transform ion-cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR) type instrument to re-fragment the product ions from a mass spec pass. The process can be repeated n times where 'n' represents the number of times the isolation-fragmentation-measurement cycle has been carried out.
