Hybrid Salivary Gland Carcinoma

**Semantic type:** Neoplastic Process

**Definition:** A rare carcinoma that arises from the salivary gland and consists of at least two histologically distinct types of carcinoma within the same topographic location. The carcinoma components usually are adenoid cystic carcinoma, epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma, and/or salivary duct carcinoma. Adenoid cystic carcinoma is commonly the predominant component.
