Cervical Florid Reactive Lymphoid Hyperplasia

**Definition:** A dense, superficial benign lymphoid cell proliferation in the cervix. It almost always occurs in premenopausal women. It is composed of a mixture of large and small lymphocytes including immunoblasts. Plasma cells and neutrophils are also present. Immunohistochemical studies reveal a mixture of B and T lymphocytes, and polytypic plasma cells.
