Auditory Steady-state Response

**Definition:** A neurologic test that measures the electrophysiologic response to rapid auditory stimuli. The test uses statistical measures to determine if and when a threshold is present. It is used to create an estimated audiogram for individuals unable or unwilling to participate in traditional behavioral tests.
