**Definition:** Saposin-B (79 aa, ~9 kDa) is encoded by the human PSAP gene. This protein is involved in promoting the hydrolysis of galacto-cerebroside sulfate, GM1 gangliosides and globotriaosylceramide by arylsulfatase A, beta-galactosidase and alpha-galactosidase A, respectively.
