**Definition:** A preparation of mixed-activated killer (MAK) immune cells derived from human umbilical cord blood (UCB) cells, with potential cytotoxic activity. Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) are isolated followed by ex vivo differentiation and expansion. Upon administration, the UCB-derived MAK immune cells may lyse cancer cells.
