Anti-mesothelin CAR Vector-transduced T-lymphocytes
**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A preparation of genetically modified T-lymphocytes transduced with a lentiviral vector encoding a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for the human tumor-associated antigen (TAA) mesothelin (MSLN), with potential immunomodulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, the anti-MSLN CAR vector-transduced T-lymphocytes specifically target and kill MSLN-expressing tumor cells. MSLN, a cell surface glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion, is overexpressed in a variety of cancer cell types.
**Synonyms:** - Anti-MSLN CAR-T Cells - HuCART-meso
