**Definition:** A long-acting glucagon/gastric inhibitory peptide (GIP)/glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) triple receptor agonist conjugated with constant region of human immunoglobulin via a non-peptidyl flexible linker, with potential antihyperglycemic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic activities. Upon administration, efocipegtrutide binds to and activates multiple incretin receptors, including glucagon receptor (GCGR), GIP receptor (GIPR) and GLP-1 receptor (GLP-1R), which may decrease liver fat accumulation, inflammation and fibrogenesis, and normalize blood glucose levels.
