A2M/ALK Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation t(2;12)(p23;p13) which fuses exon 22 of the A2M gene with exon 19 of the ALK gene. This fusion is associated with fetal interstitial lung tumors.
