Anti-CD19 Cord Blood-derived CAR-NK Cells
**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A preparation of cord blood (CB)-derived natural killer (NK) cells that have been genetically modified and transduced with a lentiviral vector to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) cluster of differentiation 19 (CD19), with potential immunomodulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, the anti-CD19 CB-derived CAR-NK cells recognize, bind to and induce selective cytotoxicity in CD19-expressing tumor cells. CD19 is a B-cell specific cell surface antigen overexpressed in B-cell lineage malignancies.
