**Definition:** A carbomer and polycarbophil-based vaginal gel preparation that may be used for vaginal lubrication and for the restoration and maintenance of normal vaginal acidity. Upon intravaginal administration of carbomer/polycarbophil-based vaginal gel, polycarbophil may adhere to vaginal epithelial cells and moisturize vaginal tissue, and restore and maintain normal vaginal acidity.
