**Definition:** A B acute lymphoblastic leukemia that occurs in patients with Down syndrome. It usually affects young children, but it can occur in adults as well. It has an unfavorable clinical outcome. Cases of T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia in patients with Down syndrome have not been reported.
