Cardiogenic Shock Stage E Related to COVID-19

**Definition:** Clinical signs of extremis in a patient with cardiogenic shock and probable or confirmed acute COVID-19. Highly unstable, often with circulatory collapse and/or refractory cardiac arrest with ongoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). They are being supported by multiple simultaneous acute interventions including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)-facilitated CPR (eCPR).
