ALG12 wt Allele

**Semantic type:** Gene or Genome

**Definition:** Human ALG12 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 22q13.33 and is approximately 59 kb in length. This allele, which encodes Dol-P-Man:Man(7)GlcNAc(2)-PP-Dol alpha-1,6-mannosyltransferase protein, is involved in the synthesis of complex oligosaccharides used in N-linked glycoproteins. Mutation of the gene is associated with congenital disorder of glycosylation type 1g.
