Papillary Urothelial Neoplasm of Low Malignant Potential
**Semantic type:** Neoplastic Process
**Definition:** A papillary neoplasm of the urothelium. The papillary structures exhibit minimal architectural distortion and minimal atypia. Mitoses are infrequent. It usually occurs in the urinary bladder, but it can arise from other sites in the urinary tract. Patients are at an increased risk of developing new papillary lesions. Occasionally, the new lesions are urothelial carcinomas.
