**Definition:** A radioconjugate composed of boronophenylalanine (BPA) labeled with the positron-emitting isotope fluorine F 18, with potential imaging applications upon positron emission tomography (PET). Upon administration, fluorine F 18 BPA is selectively taken up by tumor cells. Upon PET, fluorine F 18 can be detected, which allows the imaging of the tumor cells.
