HLA Class I Panel Reactive Antibody

**Definition:** Antibodies in a blood or serum sample that recognize the class I HLA antigens found in either a panel of lymphocytes from random blood donations or those from a potential donor. The presence of these antibodies and the percentage of the panel antigens that demonstrate reactivity correlate with the likelihood that the subject will reject grafts, transfusions or transplants.
