**Semantic type:** Neoplastic Process

**Definition:** Localized tumor that does not involve any vital structures as defined by the list of IDRFs (i.e., there are no IDRFs) and the tumor must be confined within one body compartment, neck, chest, abdomen, or pelvis. An intraspinal tumor extension that does not fulfill the criteria for an IDRF is consistent with stage L1.
