Turmetabart Adizutecan

**Definition:** An antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) composed of turmetabart, a monoclonal antibody directed against seizure protein 6 homolog (SEZ6), conjugated, via a cleavable linker, to adizutecan, a topoisomerase 1 inhibitor (TOP1i), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon intravenous administration of turmetabart adizutecan, the turmetabart moiety targets and binds to SEZ6 expressed on tumor cells. Upon binding and internalization, adizutecan is released, binds to and inhibits topoisomerase 1, thereby inhibiting DNA replication and killing the SEZ6-expressing cancer cells. SEZ6, overexpressed in certain cancers while minimally expressed in normal tissues, may play a role in cell-cell recognition and in neuronal membrane signaling.
