Smooth Muscle Autoantigen

**Definition:** A group of autoimmune substances found in the smooth muscles that may be comprised of (but not limited to) actin and non-actin cytoskeleton components such as vimentin, tubulin, and desmin. They are commonly associated with autoimmune hepatitis.
