BCOR/RARA Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene resulting from a chromosomal translocation, t(X;17)(p11;q12), which fuses exon 12 of the BCOR gene in frame with exon 3 of the RARA gene. This chromosomal aberration is associated with acute myeloid leukemia with a variant RARA translocation.
