**Semantic type:** Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein
**Definition:** A fusion protein encoded by the KMT2A/TET1 fusion gene. This protein is comprised of the N-terminal half of the histone-lysine N-methyltransferase MLL protein, including the AT hook DNA binding domain and the DNA methyltransferase domain, fused with the C-terminus of the methylcytosine dioxygenase TET1 protein, including the coiled-coil region and the nuclear localization domain that is closest to the C-terminus.
**Synonyms:** - Histone-Lysine N-Methyltransferase 2A/Methylcytosine Dioxygenase TET1 Fusion Protein - KMT2A-TET1 Fusion Protein - KMT2A::TET1 Fusion Protein - MLL-LCX Fusion Protein - MLL-TET1 Fusion Protein - TET1::KMT2A Fusion Protein
