**Definition:** A sublineage variant of the XBB.1 recombinant lineage of SARS coronavirus 2. This lineage has the same amino acid variations in the spike glycoprotein as XBB.1 but harbors additional amino acid substitutions: E180V, K478R and F486P in the spike glycoprotein, L3829F in the ORF1a protein and D1746Y in the ORF1b protein.
