**Definition:** A subcutaneous injectable formulation containing human immune globulins (Ig), mainly IgGs, with a broad spectrum of antibodies against bacterial, viral, parasitic, and mycoplasmal agents and their toxins, that can be used in the treatment of various primary humoral immunodeficiencies. Upon subcutaneous administration, immune globulin subcutaneous human provides a wide variety of opsonizing and neutralizing IgG antibodies, thereby restoring abnormally low IgG levels to normal concentrations and providing preventive activity against various infections.
