Anti-Progranulin Monoclonal Antibody AG01

**Semantic type:** Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein|Immunologic Factor|Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** A monoclonal antibody targeting human progranulin (PGRN; glycoprotein 88; GP88), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon administration, anti-PGRN monoclonal antibody AG01 targets and binds to PGRN expressed on tumor cells. This neutralizes PGRN and prevents the activation of downstream signaling pathways, which may include extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1 (ERK1) and 2 (ERK2), phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K), and focal adhesion kinase (FAK), thereby inhibiting tumor cell proliferation, migration and invasion. PGRN, an autocrine growth factor overexpressed in various types of cancers, plays an important role in tumorigenesis, tumor cell proliferation and invasiveness, and drug resistance.

**Synonyms:** - AG 01 - AG-01 - AG01 - Anti-GP88 Monoclonal Antibody AG01 - Anti-PGRN Monoclonal Antibody AG01 - Anti-glycoprotein 88 Monoclonal Antibody AG01
