Anti-CEA/Anti-CD3 Bispecific Antibody BA1202

**Semantic type:** Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein|Immunologic Factor|Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** A bispecific antibody targeting both the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 5 (CEACAM5; CEA) and CD3 antigen found on T-lymphocytes, with potential immunostimulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, anti-CEA/anti-CD3 bispecific antibody BA1202 targets and binds to both CEA expressed on tumor cells and CD3 on cytotoxic T-lymphocytes (CTLs). This activates and redirects CTLs to CEA-expressing tumor cells, which results in the CTL-mediated cell death of CEA-expressing tumor cells. CEA is overexpressed by a variety of cancer cell types and plays a key role in cell migration, cell invasion, and cell adhesion.
