PSMA-targeting Fluorescent Imaging Agent IS-002
**Semantic type:** Indicator, Reagent, or Diagnostic Aid
**Definition:** A near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent imaging agent targeting the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), that can potentially be used as a tumor-selective fluorescent imaging agent during NIR fluorescence imaging-guided surgery. Upon intravenous administration, the PSMA-targeting fluorescent imaging agent IS-002 targets and binds to PSMA on PSMA-expressing tumor cells. Upon fluorescent imaging, PSMA-expressing tumors can be visualized and identified, and surgically removed. PSMA is overexpressed by most prostate cancers.
**Synonyms:** - Fluorophore IS-002 - IS 002 - IS-002 - IS002 - PSMA-targeted Fluorescent Imaging Agent IS-002
