Autologous Anti-GPC2-CAR T-cells
**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A preparation of autologous T-lymphocytes that have been genetically modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for glypican-2 (GPC2), with potential immunostimulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, autologous anti-GPC2-CAR T-cells specifically target and bind to GPC2-expressing tumor cells, resulting in tumor cell lysis. GPC2, a heparan sulfate proteoglycan and a member of the glypican family, is overexpressed on certain tumor cell types while minimally expressed in normal, healthy cells.
**Synonyms:** - Anti-GPC2 CAR Autologous T Cells - Anti-GPC2-CAR Autologous T Lymphocytes - Autologous Anti-GPC2 CAR-T Cells - Autologous GPC2 CAR T-cells - Autologous Glypican-2-specific CAR T Cells - GPC2-targeted CAR Autologous T Cells
