**Definition:** A sublineage variant of the XBB.2.3 recombinant lineage of SARS coronavirus 2. This lineage has the same amino acid variations in ORF1a protein and ORF1b protein as XBB.2.3 but harbors the following additional amino acid variations in the spike glycoprotein: deletion of the amino acid at position 186 and amino acid substitutions N185I and T478R.
