Ovarian Autoantigens

**Definition:** A group of autoimmune substances found in the ovaries that may be mainly comprised of (but not limited to) 17-alpha-hydroxylase and members of the aldehyde dehydrogenase family. They can be considered as autoantigens and are commonly associated with the autoimmune diseases premature ovarian failure with Addison's disease and polyendocrinopathy syndromes.
