Salivary Gland Intercalated Duct Adenoma

**Definition:** A benign, well-circumscribed or encapsulated neoplasm that arises from the salivary glands, usually the parotid. It is characterized by nodular and less often multinodular proliferation of cuboidal ductal cells and attenuated myoepithelial cells, resembling bi-layered intercalated ducts. Most lesions are incidental findings, usually measuring less than 5 mm.
