**Definition:** Oral epithelial dysplasia caused by human papillomavirus infection. The tongue, floor of mouth, and buccal mucosa are the most commonly affected sites. It is characterized by the presence of mucosal dysplasia with prominent karyorrhectic/apoptotic cells. There is a risk of progression to squamous cell carcinoma.
