Allogeneic Anti-CD19 Gamma-delta CAR-T Cells UTAA09

**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** A preparation of a subset of allogeneic T-lymphocytes that express only gamma chain and delta chain T-cell receptors (TCRs) and that are transduced with a lentiviral vector expressing a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) CD19, with potential immunomodulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, allogeneic anti-CD19 gamma-delta CAR-T cells UTAA09 specifically target and bind to tumor cells expressing CD19, thereby inducing selective toxicity in CD19-expressing tumor cells. Gamma delta T-lymphocytes play a key role in the activation of the immune system and do not require major histocompatibility complex (MHC)-mediated antigen presentation to exert their cytotoxic effect. CD19 antigen is a B-cell specific cell surface antigen overexpressed in B-cell lineage malignancies.

**Synonyms:** - Allogeneic Anti-CD19 CAR Gamma Delta T-cells UTAA09 - Allogeneic Anti-CD19 CAR gdT-cells UTAA09 - UTAA 09 - UTAA-09 - UTAA09
