SET/NUP214 Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from a either an intrachromosomal translocation t(9;9)(q34;q34) or deletion del(9)(q34.11q34.13) which fuses almost the entire SET gene with the 5' side of exon 18 of the NUP214 gene. This rearrangement is associated with acute undifferentiated leukemia.
