**Definition:** An orally bioavailable protein-protein interaction (PPI) inhibitor that targets transforming acidic coiled-coil-containing protein 3 (TACC3), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon oral administration, TACC3 PPI inhibitor AO-252 targets and inhibits the interactions of TACC3 with its protein partners, including clathrin/KIFC1, BARD1 and MBD2/HAT complexes. This may inhibit tumor cell growth. TACC3 plays an important role in the regulation of mitosis, DNA damage response and epigenetic functions via its interaction with its protein partners.
