**Definition:** Human LRP4 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 11p11.2 and is approximately 62 kb in length. This allele, which encodes low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 4, is involved in the mediation of signaling pathways stimulated by agrin and sclerostin binding. Mutations in the gene are associated with Cenani-Lenz syndactyly syndrome, sclerosteosis 2 and congenital myasthenic syndrome 17.
