EGFR Mutant-selective Inhibitor WZ4002

**Semantic type:** Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** An inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutant form T790M, with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon administration, EGFR mutant-selective inhibitor WZ4002 specifically targets, binds to and inhibits EGFR T790M, which prevents EGFR T790M mutant-mediated signaling and leads to cell death in EGFR T790M mutant-expressing tumor cells. EGFR, a receptor tyrosine kinase mutated in many tumor cell types, plays a key role in tumor cell proliferation and tumor vascularization.

**Synonyms:** - EGFR T790M Inhibitor WZ4002 - WZ 4002 - WZ-4002 - WZ-4002 - WZ4002
