Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network

**Definition:** A clinical trials group established in October of 2001 and funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to conduct large, multi-institutional clinical trials evaluating cellular therapies for life-threatening disorders including hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT), cellular vaccines and chimeric antigen receptor T-cells (CAR-T). The network is composed of 20 clinical core centers and a data and coordinating center, as well as many affiliate clinical centers.
