They can be further distinguished by the presence or absence of associated autoantibodies, including anti-3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase (HMGCR), anti-signal recognition particle (SRP), and antibody negative immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM).
